The high luminosity of silk paints, as well as the material of fine silk, are some of my most important means of expression. It allows me to give free rein to my thoughts and feelings, to observe the flowing paint during the painting process, and to intervene, stop, and balance it when necessary. Although the idea for a painting is usually already present, the fluidity of the silk and silk paint naturally creates new effects. I enhance these effects with heat, salt, and various instruments on stretched silk.
